What is it with managers and their escalation business? It such a common thing in my company that it seems that most of us have gotten immune to it, and not fret over it, or be in a panic wreck anymore.

Manager A: I wanna see something done, or do i have to escalate it to your manager and director again?

Us lowly slaves: Sure! In fact, no need, i'll escalate first and beat you to it! Ha!

I tell ya, this is what is happening in my department. We no longer freak out at the slightest threat of escalation by managers from other departments. It almost seems like such a joke. Apparently, managers in my company just love escalating minor hitches to the big shots that i wonder if that's all they ever do to occupy their time and get paid still. Each of us in the HR department have gotten our fair share of escalations that its no longer taken seriously. My team leader and even my own manager has gone in and out of the CEO's office that they can almost call it their own.

I guess that's the deal with working in a big company, you get all the unnecessary stress that's totally uncalled for. Talk about working in an environment where coorporation is important, yeah it is for the benefit of profit making, and that's about it. After that, its all about hipocracy. Untimately, we'll see who finishes first, and gloat over their misery.

Reality... *shrugs*... get a grip and face it.

On a lighter note, Christmas, my favorite festive season of all time is fast approaching. But tell me, with 3 projects on hand that's all due in January, how am i gonna enjoy my hols fully? And the most absurd thing is, i gotta meet Ailin for a PROJECT DISCUSSION on Christmas eve! Yeah you read it right, its not for a christmas celebration, but to slog away for our assignments. Darn, that's really a first for me. Thankfully, i would be able to finish everything in time before the Chinese New Year, but.... that would mean that my exams would be approaching too!

Hmm... not that light a note after all...i'll stop whinning for now.

On a really lighter note again, i've got plans for the christmas already! Its gonna be a quiet christmas this time around, with champagne and just candles. Then of course, just me and Bong, its gonna be a quiet romantic beach christmas celebration. I'm so looking forward to that! Projects are not gonna spoil it, hehe. =D

Merry Christmas everyone, and may with it, brings happiness to all!
