Mother nature has decided to play a cruel joke on earth tat caused thousands of death in 8 countries which have been affected... It was such an unprecedented attack... However, this may seem strange as this happened exactly a year to the day where a massive earthquake struck Iran, killing more than 30000 people.

Dear God,

I pray that more and more bodies will be found alive, instead of being found dead. I pray that you will be there with them, to guide them back to their familes and loved ones, give them hope and comfort, to be there when they need you most. Please take away all forms of chaos and catastrophes, and take away all their miseries.
Hear their cries oh Lord... You are our Lord God our savior. Only you will have a way with everything. Be their pillar 0f strength should they decide to give up. Give them the breath of life.
In Jesus's name i pray, amen.

"When trouble overtakes you, let God take over."

This year's christmas celebration was really quite fulfilling... celebrated with different groups of people... On the eve was with Bong's usual gang... went to one of the guy's house to have a sumptious meal of steamboat... one of them was joking tat it felt more like "tuan yuan fan",which means a reunion dinner we usually have during Chinese New Year. However, this beats being in town and be squashed like sardines... nah... I'm way over the squeezing problem, especially Orchard Road. I've realised over the years, that during such Christmas or New Year seasons, hordes of Bangladeshi workers will head over to town to join in the fun... Not tat i'm being a racist... but trust me... the stench isn't very appealing. Seriously, i'm alrite with those tat don't smell...

Anyway, each of us were supposed to bring down a pressie for a gift exchange. Tat was pretty funny cos there were some funny ones...and not to mention, some of the guys took some funny photos... of cos, not forgetting the group photos, which consisted of monkey faces, serious faces, and smiley faces... however, we totally forgot to do the Christmas countdown as we were engrossed in a VCD tat we were watching!! Aww man... anyway, to end off the eve, we went to Marina South at an ungodly hour of almost 1am...played pool and some arcade games...then finally headed to home sweet home...by the time i reached home... it was 5am...

On Christmas day itself... we relaxed at home almost the whole day, then went over to my cousin's house at the other end of the world at Bt. Panjang area... i nearly fainted on the bus...and contented myself with playing the Snake game on Bong's phone...

So well, yesterday... spent some valuable time with Bong's army gang and their gfs...guess wat... us gfs are known as the 41st wives club... -_-"' Haha... Had a wonderful and vigorous tennis session, altogether 9 of us...we even played tennis triples instead of doubles! So 6 of us were sparring on the court. There was once where it was like the battle of the sexes! 3 of us gals against the guys...we did pretty well i must say. =D

Apparently, the calories burnt during the tennis session went rite back into our bodies after having a meal of KFC... but tat meal was a great catching up session... it was especially good to listen to Ian - the subaru imprezza car winner, talk about his ordeal during the challenge. Well...i guess determination has its benefits...

Okies... we have decided tat New Year's Eve will be spent together... but we dunno how we are gonna spend it yet... well... i guess we'll jus have to wait for tat day before knowing wat is gonna happen. Tonite.. gonna have another steamboat with my bunch of girlies, and of cos, not forgetting the annual gift exchange. Can't wait!!

Photos will be uploaded soon!! In the meantime, Merry Christmas!!! (Don't say tat i'm late in the greetings, cos i'm not... don't forget tat we have 12 days of Christmas!!)

Year 2004 is coming to an end in 9 days... and that's when we will welcome 2005 with open arms (maybe not to some).... well... 2004 has been one hell of a roller coaster ride for me...

A new job... a new hairdo... death of my dad that has left me in pieces... a new faith... new friends... stronger friendships with some, but yet trying to stray away from some... stronger family ties... stronger relationship... commencement of a part time degree course... new goals in life... new experiences... a puppy...

All in all, 2004 hasn't been that bad, but it hasn't exactly been excellent either. I'm jus praying that 2005 will bring in more happiness, and better of everything. I hope that I will also see myself has a better person with more achievements in 2005.... not forgetting, more travelling!!! - Gosh! I sound like i'm making a speech or something...

Anyway, i shall see the ending of 2004 in a positive light... 2005 will be a better year! Halleujiah!

Sometimes, i wonder why should i care so much for a friend who does not in the least appreciate me... throwing mood swings as and when ever she feels like it... It hurts time and time again each time this happens, but all i can do is swallow down my pride and just forget tat it happened, although it will add on like an additional gash of wound on my skin... and will probably accumulate till i can tolerate no longer. Its almost like I'm being taken as punching bag to vent her frustrations, not as someone whom she can confide in and cherish for a friend...

Maybe i should just drift further away from her... maybe till then, my presence will be more apparent...yes... probably tat will be a good solution to this issue... However, by then... i may not need her for a friend anymore...

I have always been fascinated by Thai histories... I have completely no idea why, but maybe I was a Thai in my previous life... Since sec 4, after the historical and geographical trip with the school, I jus grew to love their culture, their histories, their palaces, temples, the people, and the lovely country in all its beauty...

I remembered that before I touched down in Thailand, I was thinking that this trip is jus gonna be for fun, and enjoyment. But I realized tat besides the fun and enjoyment, I began to fall hard for the countr... so much so that when it was time to leave, I was terribly reluctant to return home... absurd as it may seem, I can't explain it myself...

We visited the holy temples, and the temples over there are completely different from what u see in Singapore! They looked so grand and majestic, not to mention, they are really huge... visiting the king's palaces was such an eye opener for me, one of the king's houses had 81 rooms! There was even a summer palace, one tat looks like an ancient China's emperor's palace too.... complete with red pillars and walls, and great big wooden furnitures. We also went to a ruin, they had super steep steps, whereby in order to go up to the top, you had to crawl on all fours, and go down on all fours too... this is because the steps are already much corroded, and its so steep to the extend tat it seemed like its almost 90 degrees from the ground.... therefore, when you climb up and down the stairs, it is advised not to look back or down... I felt really proud of myself when I climbed to the top successfully, and even managed to pose for a photo together with Huijia. Wat a great experience that I cannot forget till now...

Last year, in celebration of my 21st birthday, instead of holding a party, I decided to take a holiday with my mum. We went to Phuket and Krabi. I went to Phuket before when I was younger, so it was nothing much... however Krabi was a whole new place... It may seem boring as it's really a small town with beaches surrounding it... but there are some beautiful sights too! I went canoeing, and in the midst of it, I was enjoying myself immensely by taking in all the sights... we got off our canoe at some stops, to look at caves, and scenic views. The last stop was the one tat marvels me most of all... it was an area where we had to canoe across a really low cave, and when we exited from the other side of the cave, I saw a sight tat I won't ever forget, its like I'm in the Garden of Eden or something, its really a beautiful sight to behold... Did I mention tat i even got myself a new friend in Krabi?? =D

Of course, Thailand has its ugly side too... like their infamous sex industry, and well known "Ah-Guas" (transvestites), but which country does not have its ugly side? Its jus a matter of what kind of memories you'd rather keep... I guess I try to have a selective memory... There are loads more of Thailand that are yet to be explored, but of cos, the finances are keeping me from doing so... So I guess, I have to be contented for now and jus wait till the next Thailand trip...

Greece, Rome, Venice and Eqypt are also places i'm dying to go to... Its great to live in a country tat is so rich in history isn't it? Holiday trips are not about shopping... to me, its to see things tat i do not get to see in Singapore... Being inside palaces, temples, and buildings allows me to let my imaginations run wild... picturing the activities tat took place in the past... or even if they still do take place presently and in the future...
